Science and Religion: Exploring the Spectrum of Global Perspectives (SRES2)

The project “Science and religion: global perspectives” has as its primary objective to understand how the relationship between science and religion is perceived in various social, political, cultural, and religious contexts. The research emphasizes understanding the relationship between religion and theories of evolution, as well as understanding how the scientific community and society, in general, perceive this relationship.

Between science and religion. An empirical study to understand the role of religious beliefs in opposition to biomedical technologies (ECIREL)

The main objective of this research is to analyse the emergence, transmission and circulation of discourses and practices of reticence and rejection of biomedical technologies and treatments, with special emphasis on unravelling the role of religious and spiritual beliefs when such rejection occurs.
